AUTUMN SAINTS was begun by Sandy Escontrias after she moved to live with her elderly mother. Both at home and in her job at First Presbyterian Church, DeLand Florida, it became apparent that most senior adults have very few resources to help them in the aging process. In a society that would rather ignore or denigrate the aging process, the emphasis is on staying young rather than aging well. As Christians we are called to live each stage of our lives in the grace of God. Having a small group where concerns can be discussed with hope, joy, and encouragement is essential. Autumn Saints provides curriculum materials that provide probing questions, scripture to feed on and activities that are both fun and community building. We hope you enjoy them.
